Walking home with the tree

When Alisa and I first started dating, buying a Christmas tree together was one of the first really couply (couplish? couplesque?) things we did together. It was very nice. I had my little pickup then and we could just toss the tree in the bed and take it to my apartment.

Alisa bought the house and my truck moved on to greener owners. For our second Christmas, we carried the tree from the lot. We were very glad to get home, but the slow walk had a quaint, romantic feel to it.

It became a tradition. A wheelbarrow now makes the walk a bit easier. Surprisingly, no one has ever asked us what we were doing walking through Brookside with a wheelbarrow.
