While her father will probably always doubt the dignity and wisdom of air travel, Ellie largely took our North Carolina trip in stride (wriggle?). The plane had a very convenient shelf -- perfect for an infant.
She hated the rental carseat. We don't blame her. Avis will soon realize that they need to try harder.

We probably will from now on...
I just don't understand why a rental company would risk such bad PR for a relatively minor monetary gain. It might be a long time before we rent a car from Avis again.
