A very long night, frustrating day

We went back to St Luke's at nine and there was still no room. We read magazines from last October, a time before the world admitted we were in recession, until 9:30 when we finally checked in. The nurse didn't start the process of softening the cervix until about eleven. It worked great. After showing no change for a couple of weeks, things were beginning to move. We walked the floor for hours.

If I remember correctly, things really got interesting around six or so. The epidural went in closer to eight thirty.

And then everything sort of stayed where it was. Alisa had contractions, but they weren't moving us closer to the goal of having a baby.

At two thirty or so, it was decided that we needed to go with a C-section. We had really wanted to avoid this, but continuing with the inducement was putting stress on the baby.
